AmbasSENDors - Children's Commissioner Consultation

In April 2023, we were invited to contribute to a number of questions regarding young people's experience of transitions by the Children's Commissioner Office. The role of the Children's Commissioner Office is to advocate for children and young people, and help present their views to the Government - helping to create better opportunities for all.

Most of the questions we looked at related to the experience of transition between primary and secondary school, but also about the support we receive in school, and our access to community activities. Our answers were then looked at, and helped to create a report called "We all have a voice: Disabled children's vision for change [https://www.childrenscommissioner.gov.uk/resource/we-all-have-a-voice-disabled-childrens-vision-for-change/]" which was published in  October 2023. Some of our comments were also used directly in the report, so we can now say we are published commentators!

We also got sent a certificate from Rachel De Souza, the Children's Commissioner for England, to thank us for our contributions (which we can use in our personal achievement folders)
